Parts Advisor
We are recruiting an Apprentice Parts Advisor to support the day-to-day operations of our automotive parts department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, customer interaction, and working as part of a wider technical team.
As a Parts Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, supporting both customers and workshop colleagues. Your work will directly contribute to efficient vehicle repairs, customer satisfaction, and the smooth running of the business.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As an Apprentice Parts Advisor, you will:
Act as the first and last point of contact for customers, including the public, dealerships, and garages
Process parts enquiries and orders in person, by phone, and via email
Order, sell, and manage vehicle parts and accessories
Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records
Raise invoices and support payment processing
Communicate effectively with vehicle technicians and other team members
Provide advice on accessories, modifications, vehicle care, and warranty-related queries
Manage customer queries and complaints professionally
Collate information to support Customer Service Index (CSI) reporting
Keep the parts and stockroom areas organised and compliant
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and recycling procedures
Support additional tasks as directed by the Bodyshop Manager

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
GCSE (or equivalent) English – Grade 4/C or above
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths – Grade 4/C or above
Basic IT skills
A full driving license
Training & Development
Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 Parts Advisor
Duration: 18 months
Training Delivery (government-approved provider)
Assessor-led workplace learning with online support
This apprenticeship will help you develop strong administrative, customer service, and commercial skills, with clear pathways for future progression.
Future Career Progression
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be well placed to progress into a fully qualified Parts Advisor role, with opportunities for permanent employment and further career development, including supervisory or management pathways.
